Register to vote!

The next Travis Co. election (major party primary) is March 9. The voter registration deadline is Monday, Feb. 9.

You can register to vote at any time; but you must register at least 30 days before an election in which you wish to vote.

All applicants must provide one of the following: Texas driver license, personal identification number (issued by the state of Texas), or the last four digits of your Social Security number. When applying by mail for the first time in Travis Co., you must provide a copy of the identification along with the completed voter registration application.

Who Is Eligible to Register and Vote

You are eligible to register and vote if you are:

A citizen of the United States

A resident of Travis Co.

At least 18 years of age

Not declared mentally incompetent by a court of law

Not a convicted felon, or, if so convicted you have fully discharged your sentence or have been pardoned or otherwise released from the disability to vote.

You may register to vote online at www.state.tx.us/travisco/voter/home.htm. Voter registration forms are available at:

The Tax Assessor-Collector Office, 5501 Airport, 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday, or by calling 854-9473, 24 hours per day. An application will be mailed to you the next business day.

The Department of Public Safety, the Department of Human Services, and the Department of Health when applying for services
