On his march toward sainthood, former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani will be signing his new book Leadership at Borders South at Westgate Plaza, 4477 S. Lamar, 1 to 3pm on Monday, Dec. 2. Expect a big crowd.

The city of Austin and Hays Co. are hosting a summit for elected and government officials to explore the potential development of a regional protection plan for the Barton Springs Zone of the Edwards Aquifer. Palmer Auditorium, Friday, Dec. 6, 8:30am to 3:30pm. The Austin branch of the Industrial Workers of the World is sponsoring a talk by representatives of the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions about labor struggles in the occupied West Bank and Gaza.
