Yes, No, Maybe

Several local organizations have taken positions on the Nov. 6 Travis County bond election, with the largest share of opposition growing against Prop. 3, the $32.7 million bond measure for right-of-way purchases to round out the construction of SH 45 North and the expansion of FM 1826. Here's how the votes shake out from business organizations, Democratic clubs, and environmental and neighborhood groups. YES on all: Austin Area Research Organization, the Real Estate Council of Austin, Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, Capital Area Transportation Coalition, Austin 2010 (all affiliated with the Yes! Travis County Bonds Committee).

NO on all: Austin Neighborhoods Together, Austin Sierra Club, Save Our Springs Alliance, the Travis County Green Party, South River City Citizens.

YES on Props 1, 2, 4: Travis County Democratic Party Exec. Committee (The committee took no position on Prop. 3).

YES on Props 1 & 2, NO on Props 3 & 4: South Austin Democrats.

YES on Prop. 2, NO on Props 1, 3, & 4: Travis Co. Democratic Women, Zilker Neighborhood Association.
