The Austin Independent School District's dropout prevention task force will hold the last of three public forums on its recommendations for dropout prevention and reduction at 5:30pm today, Thursday, Jan. 20, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. 1206 E. In anticipation of former secretary of state Henry Kissinger's appearance at UT the following week, the UT-Radical Action Network and Peace Action Austin will hold a teach-in on Kissinger's policies in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 7pm, at Bass Lecture Hall, LBJ School of Public Affairs, on the UT campus. The Austin Yellow Bike Project will hold a Community Bike Conference and Third Birthday Party this weekend, Jan. 21-24. The conference will feature workshops, discussion sessions, a bike film festival, group rides, and a birthday celebration on Saturday, Jan. 22, from noon-5pm at 1182 Hargrave.
