Austin International Folk Dancers meets weekly to learn dances from all over the world. First time free, $2 after. Sat, 7:30-11pm, at the Hancock Recreation Center, 811 E. 41st. 462-0651.

DanceClub 183 hosts smoke-free public dances weekly, with music ranging from salsa to C&W to ballroom to swing. Fri, 9pm. $5. 339-9391.

Dunya Hosts Dance With Taste weekly at Ararat Restaurant. Dunya, dubbed "best belly dancer in the world" by the Village Voice, is featured most Thursdays. Sundays, Dunya presents dancing by Jaqui Staples and Cara Biasucci. Reservations a must. Thu & Sun, 8pm, at Ararat, 111 E. North Loop. 419-1692.

Middle Eastern Dance & Drumming is presented every other week at Ruta Maya. Marietta Robards, aka Zerehade, hosts. Fri, 6:30-9pm, at Ruta Maya, Fourth & Lavaca. 451-6776.

Mirage Bellydance Troupe presents an hour of swirling chiffon and bellydance every other week. Next date: Mar 20. No cover. Thu, 7:30pm, Texas Union Showroom. 252-2333.

QuickSilver Workshops on Beginning East Coast Swing and the Foxtrot will be held Mar 14, Fri, 7pm, at QuickSilver Studio, 8711 Burnet, #H-101. Cost: $25 couple/$15 single. 302-4324.

Execudance Offers Salsa Lessons for the beginning and intermediate dancer every Thu, 6-8:30pm, at Miguel's La Bodega, 415 Colorado. Cost: $5 class. 343-6392.

Hamrick/Warren, a professional modern dance school, offers year-round adult classes in modern dance technique, beginning through professional levels; yoga; and conditioning, including Kate's Ideal Workout and The Saturday Class. Cafe Dance, 3307-B Hancock. 451-8066.
