Tourniquets, Hacksaws & Graves (Peaceville)

Led by ex-Death drummer Chris Reifert, Autopsy has celebrated the many ways to die since 1987. Tourniquets, Hacksaws & Graves follows up last year's acclaimed The Headless Ritual with more straightforward smash 'n' thrash, featuring none of the knotty riff-twisting in which so many death metal acts indulge. Fronted by Reifert's surprisingly articulate, pissed-off bark, Tourniquets is as accessible as a record with songs called "King of Flesh Ripped" and "After the Cutting" can be.
