Summertime Peruse

A respite of rock & roll reading

Had enough? Of spring music festivals, I mean. From South by Southwest to this weekend's continuing Chaos in Tejas downshift, every act wielding a tuba, banjo, bong, or upside down crucifix has trampled our parched patch of burgeoning paradise. Time to chill out, broheme – sistren. Pull up a swimming hole, backyard, or sofa and crack a book. We did, and already the fall stack rises to meet this bookshelf. As spring festivals, tours, and releases recede, do like Bob Seger says: Turn the page.
