If there were any doubts as to the popularity of this year's eponymous debut LP from the Lumineers, they were quelled by the immovable mass of fans crushing the Austin Ventures Stage and the swelling chorus of voices that rose up to sing along to the impeccably crafted folk-pop of "Ho Hey" and "Stubborn Love." The Denver quintet also harnessed an engaging and energetic show that worked the crowd even through new songs "I Ain't Nobody's Problem" and a closing duet between Wesley Schultz and cellist Neyla Pekarek that charmed even as it fell apart. "Flowers in Your Hair" and "Classy Girls" both rolled with an infectious bounce, even as the aptly titled "Slow It Down" and "Dead Sea" ran into the most obnoxious moments of stage bleeding (courtesy Die Antwoord) since Gillian Welch met Skrillex last year. The Lumineers countered, with a furiously stomped take on Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues," a bold statement, but one that seemed to meet the approval of all segments of the crowd.
