Freddie Krc's take on country is predictably eclectic. Though moments such as "Times Are Getting Tough" and "Ballad of Clovis Morose" are hilariously twanging, Krc takes his primary cues from the Sir Douglas Quartet's Brit-flavored Tex-Mex ("What's So Hard About Love") and Elvis Costello's spin on Americana ("Wild Wild West"). "Dat Crawfish" stomps zydeco, but "Pirate for Your Love" and "Roadhouse Rock" open up the powder keg.
