Let's Talk About It

The Internet has been kind to White Denim. Blogs like Denton's Gorilla vs. Bear have championed the local trio's vinyl debut EP, Let's Talk About It, a sprawling junk pile of techno-infused garage rock, and TuneCore.com, the flat-fee digital distribution service, secured the band a slot on the Ernie Ball stage at the Warped Tour last Saturday in Dallas. At least TuneCore was supposed to. "They said they had never heard of us," says singer James Petralli. "We ended up just finding a place to have some Bloody Marys and filled out the rest of our CMJ application." Jeff Price, founder and CEO of TuneCore, rectified the situation Tuesday morning, personally apologizing and reimbursing the group through PayPal and pledging to sponsor a future show.
