Mobb Deep

Life of the Infamous: The Videos (Loud)

Representing Queensbridge to the fullest, Mobb Deep chronicles its journey from Juvenile Hell to G-Unit affiliation with this relatively uniform collection of 16 videos. Between recurring themes and the obvious peaks of "Shook Ones Pt. II," "Quiet Storm," and "Got It Twisted," Havoc and Prodigy illustrate the full extent of their collective Napolean complex with a persistence that would exhaust even Pepe le Pew. There's something inherently bizarre about picturing self-styled hooligans cruising tropical isles on a luxury yacht, but the video for "It's Mine" certainly makes you proud of those little Mobb Deep dudes for earning the Hype Williams treatment like that. ***
