Los Straitjackets

'Tis the Season for Los Straitjackets (YepRoc) Question: How does one improve on the Ventures' Sixties Christmas album? Answer: Hit the same grooves -- once more with feeling. Check out the "La Bamba" hip shake in "Feliz Navidad," the snazzy "Walk Don't Run" intro for "Sleigh Ride," and the "Pipeline" cop in "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen." All played with muscle and beats that are guaranteed to get butts shakin'. Ho ho ho, indeed.
