You Go to Jupiter

By Ken Lieck, December 6, 2002, Music

Plenty of free live music to be had this weekend, with Jupiter Records at the corner of 41st and Red River in the Hancock Center kicking things off. For 24 hours, starting midnight Friday and continuing nonstop until midnight Saturday, local acts will perform live every hour on the hour in celebration of Jupiter Records 4th anniversary. Why? Co-owner Jason Enright says, "We're not Tower Records, we have to do things like this to get people aware of independent record stores. We could've just done this during store hours, but that wouldn't have been enough!" Unlike the 24-hour Gloriathon at Liberty Lunch several years ago, he promises free Real Ale and that more than one song will be sung during the celebration.
