Zach Theatre's Whisenhunt Stage
Built in 1991 to complement the Kleberg Stage, the site of Zach Theatre's mainstage productions since 1972, the petite 130-seat Whisenhunt Arena Stage is as cozy and comfy as one's living room. That's made it Zach's go-to setting for one-person shows like The Santaland Diaries and Tru, small-cast dramas such as Doubt, cabaret, and many of its productions for children, who enjoy being right on top of the action in this theatre in the round.
Street Corner Arts presents Ayad Akhtar’s Tony-nominated play inspired by the junk bond scandal of the '80s and set in the manic high-stakes trading shark tank of Wall Street. A fine cast under the direction of Benjamin Summers takes you on a whirlwind ride through the debt financing debacle that was the root cause of the country's housing crisis. Feb. 15-March 9. Thu.-Sat., 8pm. $20-25.
