Chef Sonya Coté's restaurant is set beside a plowed field and under a canopy of ancient pecan trees on Springdale Farm. The cuisine reflects the current harvest.

Serves French bistro fare accompanied by killer cocktails in a 1930s cottage. You can play a little pétanque outside while you wait for the steak frites.

So passionate about cocktail craft are the owners here, they boast a Clinebell CB300X2 commercial ice machine that spits out 300-pound blocks of clear, crystal ice–the type ice sculptors use. Each major spirit group gets two pages of the menu, broken down into six preparation methods, and all drinks are $10. Try the Pepino Fizz.
