Joseph Laycock: Speak of the Devil

Dude's a professor of religious studies at TSU. Dude's already written a few other books about religion and its outrages. Dude's now offering up a tome on the Satanic Temple, and we, for one, are glad to welcome our Baphomet-erecting overlords to the national conversation. Hail Hydra! (No, wait – we totally meant Hail Satan.) Mon., Feb. 17, 7pm.

Tom Lutz: Born Slippy

The LARB-founding, silverhaired fox of an editor and author visits Austin for a brief gad about the metrop and, brushing aside the ghost of Papa Hemingway, to present his globetrotting, timeshifting novel about the seductions of – and resistance to – toxic masculinity. Tue., Feb. 18, 7pm.

Paul Yoon: Run Me to Earth

The award-winning author, here in conversation with Laura Van Den Berg, presents his new novel about three kids, orphaned in 1960s Laos, whose destinies are entwined across decades. Thu., Feb. 20, 7pm.
