Black Mountain Art

1000 S. Second, 512/444-6655
Amidst the overgrown pecan trees and dense bamboo along S. First Street, you can always hear the faint sound of power saws and hammering echoing up through the sprawling canopy that houses Black Mountain Art. With a name taken from the original Black Mountain College of 1950's North Carolina fame, the ballyhoo in the bamboo is a workshop of artists that includes casters Dana Younger and Kevin Collins, sculptor Chris Levac, and musician Steve Balgooyan. On top of that, these guys sell some great art.
