Nestled in the hills west of town, One World’s Spanish-style exterior makes it easy for passing motorists to mistake the venue for a palatial residence. Opened in 1999, the 300-seat theater provides an uncommonly intimate, acoustically sound setting for music. One World’s eclectic booking formula emphasizes world music, jazz, folk, and legacy artists of all stripes. Suzanne Vega, Jimmy Webb, Tom Paxton, and Spyro Gyra are just a few of the marquee names that have performed here. Dinner can be purchased as an optional add-on for most evening shows. Their arts-in-education program also hosts field trips and summer camps for kids.
