"...That's the basic plot of 12 minute short "Raise a Good Man", and it's one of those projects that's bursting with exciting talent with local connections. Heading up the cast are Austinite and SXSW regular Anna Margaret Hollyman (Small, Beautifully Moving Parts, White Reindeer)and her costar, Ryan Harper Gray (SX 2011's Neal, and also a Salvage Vanguard veteran.) Behind the camera was cinematographer Andrew Droz Palermo, responsible for the cinematrography on a particular favorite feature in these parts (You're Next) and an unmissable short (soon hopefully to be a feature), Kat Candler's "Black Metal." Then there's Cameron Bruce Nelson, who was the recipient of the Austin Film Society's seal of approval in the form of a 2014 production grant for his directorial debut Some Beasts...."
