I am due to have angioplasty in two weeks. I know this procedure is necessary now, but I want to prevent further deterioration of my heart condition. What is helpful?
Columns  January 4, 2002, by James Heffley, Ph.D.
"...The nutrient amounts used in this research are quite large, representing about two and a half times the Dietary Reference Intake (DRI, the replacement number for Recommended Dietary Allowance or RDA for evaluation of nutrient intake) of folic acid, 80 times DRI of vitamin B-12 and five times the DRI for vitamin B-6. It is doubtful that the American diet could supply these amounts without serious overconsumption of calories, so use of food supplements in this situation seems inevitable...."

Oh, Build Me a Home
Architects Espouse "Traditional Neighborhood Districts"
News Story  May 23, 1997, by Mike Clark-Madison
"...If you build it, will they come? The seductive appeal of all this compact-city, mixed-use, sustainable New Urbanist stuff is that it claims a simple solution to the woes of American city life: We don't need to worry about sprawl if we don't sprawl. If we lived smaller, didn't separate our homes from each other, from our workplaces, from the shops and parks and nightspots, and spent more time walking and less time driving -- the way most towns and cities have been structured, in most of the world, for most of human history -- our lives would work better..."

There's a whole Gilman Street between the DKs and Green Day
Music Review  December 4, 2009, by Marc Savlov
"...Punk, and now, against all odds, Jack Boulware and Silke Tudor have gone and one-upped both of those indispensable oral histories with this endlessly fascinating and frankly addictive masterpiece of safety-pin journalism. Of key note here is the Texas/SF cross-country tweakshow that included the likes of DRI, Tales of Terror, girlfriend-killing Fang-frontman Sam "Sammytown" McBride, and the (ever infamous) SF/SoCo skin Marc Dagger..."

News Story  September 21, 2001, by Rob Curran and Amy Smith
