Edible Austin has recruited a group chefs who are willing to donate their time and talents to raise money for two local food non-profits, the Sustainable Food Center and Urban Roots. Each chef has put together an auction package. Some will include restaurant dining experiences while others could bring the chef to cook in your kitchen.
Look for these chefs on the auction block: Paul Qui of Qui; Bryce Gilmore of Barley Swine: David Bull of Congress; Josh Watkins of the Carillon; Brian Malarkey of Searsucker; Mat Clouser & Callie Speer of Swift’s Attic; Tink Pinkard of Roast; Tatsu Aikawa & Tako Matsumoto of Ramen Tatsu-Ya; and Houston chef Monica Pope of Sparrow Bar+Cookshop.
Party fare will include appetizers catered by Spoon & Co. as well as samples from local food artisans Celtic Seafare, Confituras, Dos Lunas Cheeses, Pate’ Letelier, and Princess & Moose’s Sister Bakery. Midnight Cowboy Lounge owner Bill Norris will be handcrafting cocktails featuring Treaty Oak spirits as well as cocktails made with Tito’s Vodka and Paula’s Texas Spirits. Maison Trimbach will provide wine and Austin Beerworks is bringing the local craft brews.
After a happy hour to get everyone well-fed, properly lubricated, and in the mood for generosity, at 7:45pm celebrity auctioneer Walt Roberts will conduct the live auction with each chef package starting at a different bid. Tickets are only $55. Grab you wallet and an auction paddle and go for it!
