› Con 'Olio Oils & Vinegars (10000 Research #130) celebrates two years in business with food and wine samples and giveaways all day. Friday, Nov. 25, 10am-8pm.

› Enjoy the Artisan Fair and Post-Thanksgiving Lunchtime Feast at Fall Creek Vineyards (www.fcv.com). $17.50, excluding wine; reserve at 325/379-5361. Saturday, Nov. 26, 11am-5pm.

Thai Fresh and Thrice Cafe (909 W. Mary) offer a Sunday brunch with Thai fried chicken, gluten-free waffles, other Thai specialties made to order, and live music by Ralph White. Sunday, Nov. 27, 11am.

› Author and PBS cooking teacher Lidia Basti­a­nich will sign copies of her new book, Lidia's Italy in America (Alfred A. Knopf, $35), and bottles of her own wine at Whole Foods Market (525 N. Lamar). Wed­nes­day, Nov. 30, 6:30pm.

› Help Austin's historic Driskill Hotel (Sixth & Brazos) celebrate 125 years in business with a tree illumination ceremony and live music in the lobby. Thursday, Dec. 1, 7pm.

› Michael Parker's annual Whisky Festival at Opal Divine's Penn Field (3601 S. Congress) is the best whiskey event of the year, according to our Wes Marshall. Sample more 50 whiskies from the British Isles complemented by a whiskey-friendly food buffet. Tickets are $40 in advance at www.opaldivines.com; $45 at the door. Thursday, Dec. 1, 7pm.
