• Don't miss Austin's oldest celebration of food and culture at the 78th annual St. Elias Mediterranean Festival on East 11th Street between Red River and Trinity. Festivities include live music, dancing, and kids' activities, and Greek, Lebanese, and Middle Eastern culinary delicacies; beer; wine; and cocktails for sale. $5 tickets are on sale at all Twin Liquors stores and will also be available at the gate. Friday-Saturday, Oct. 1-2, 6pm-12mid.

• The SFC Farmers' Market at Sunset Valley relocates for one weekend only to a space near the garden center at Home Depot Boulevard and Brodie Lane to make way for the bands in the Capital City Marching Festival. The market returns to its regular spot at 3200 Jones, adjacent to the Toney Burger parking lot, next week. Saturday, Oct. 2, 9am-1pm.

• Texas-based wine importer Martin Ulisse hosts wine tastings and dinners at Paggi House, Botticelli's, Mandola's, East End Wines, and Finn & Porter to introduce Puglia winemaker Francesco Mocavero and his wines to the Austin area. • Executive Chef Josh Watkins prepares a multi-course Wild and Rare dinner with Texas game and grass-fed beef at the Carillon (1900 Univer­sity Blvd.). • The Wine & Food Foundation of Tex­as hosts its annual Tour de Vin in the Lamar Culinary Center and the rooftop plaza of the flagship Whole Foods Mar­ket, 525 N. Lamar. The event showcases wines from Europe and South America, complemented by signature dishes from 20 Austin eateries and music by Cien­fuegos.
