Jaime's Spanish Village (802 Red River, 476-5149), a truly iconic local restaurant that has served authentic Tex-Mex cuisine to generations of Austinites since the 1930s, has lost its lease and will close at the end of the month. Second-generation operator Charlie Tames encourages all the longtime fans of the restaurant to drop by to enjoy Jaime's signature sauces, chile con queso, and frosty margaritas as a way to contribute to the employee benefit fund he's established for the staff. Through July 30, Sunday-Thursday, 11am-10:30pm, and Friday-Saturday, 11am-12mid.

• The Cedar Park Farms to Market (www.cedarparkfarmersmarket.org) permanently relocates to the parking lot at Lakeline Mall (U.S. 183 and RR 620 North) this weekend. Sustainably grown fruits and vegetables, meats, poultry, seafood, dairy products, and artisan foods from 40 to 60 farmers and vendors, plus live music. Saturday, July 17, 9am-1pm.

• Join fans of the Barr Mansion (www.barrmansion.com) at an old-fashioned Bar(r)n Raising party at the Texas Disposal Systems Exotic Game Ranch (11508 Carl Rd., near Creedmoor). Guests will enjoy artisan foods and drinks from area restaurants and chefs. Help sponsor the rebuilding of the Artisan Ballroom by making donations online at www.farmhousedelivery.com or at the party. Sunday, July 18, 5-8pm.

• The producers of yet another new Food Network show have taken a bite out of Austin sweets in preparation for a program called Kid in a Candy Store. Adam Gertler's new show debuted last Monday with cake balls and cake shakes from Holy Cacao and continues this week with a visit to Big Top Candy Shop. Monday, July 19, 7:30pm.
