Drop by the Foodie-Palooza, where local and regional celebrity chefs will demonstrate the use of all kinds of kitchen equipment – learn about everything from knife skills to food processors to stove-top smokers, complete with recipes and free product giveaways during each demo. Cannoli Joe's (4715 Hwy. 290 W., 892-4444) commemorates its first year in business with a series of Tex-Italia Wine Celebrations designed to introduce its patrons to fabulous wines and benefit selected local nonprofit organizations through the month of August. Each Wednesday and Thursday, four wineries will be represented. Guests can taste the featured wines for free and buy them by the glass or the bottle at greatly reduced prices. Damon Young of WineBat and Green Pastures (811 W. Live Oak, 444-1888) Executive Chef Charles Bloemsma have announced their events for August through October.
