34th Street Cafe & Catering (1005 W. 34th, 371-3400, www.34thstreetcafe.com) will transform into Lounge 34 on the last Saturday night of the month this summer, ­offering sensational wines, creative appetizers of the season by chef Justin Raiford, and "spinsational" tunes from DJ Blake. $18 per person, $34 per couple. • Brewer Brian Peters invites beer aficionados to join him for a Brewer's Dinner – five courses of food paired with five of his hand-crafted beers, at Uncle Billy's Brew & Que (1530 Barton Springs Rd., 476-0100, www.unclebillysaustin.com). $45 per person, reservations necessary. Sunday, June 29, reception at 6pm, dinner at 7pm.

• Summer wine classes continue at the Falls Bistro & Wine Cellar (202 Main St. in Marble Falls, 830/265-4580, www.thefallsbistro.com) with sommelier Brian McIndoo talking about wines from the Bordeaux region of France. The $95 price includes a cheese buffet. Reservations necessary. Tuesday, July 1, 6-9pm.

Austin Slow Burn proprietors Jill and Kevin Lewis prepare zesty summer party foods with their spicy line of products that pair well with summer wines at A22 Wine Bar at Central Market Westgate (4477 S. Lamar, 899-4300). $25 per person, reservations necessary (www.austinslowburn.com). Tuesday & Thursday, July 1 & 3, 6:30-7:30pm.

Zax Pints & Plates (312 Barton Springs Rd., 481-0100, www.zaxaustin.com) owners Mike Baldwin and Jeffrey Lynd invite everyone to a customer appreciation celebration commemorating Zax's fifth anniversary. $5 pizzas and $2.50 select pints. Thursday, July 3, 4-10pm.
