Feb. 8-14

• Revel in a full weekend of chocolate displays, samples, in-store workshops, and demonstrations at the Central Market Chocolate Festival (4001 N. Lamar, 206-1000; 4521 Westgate, 899-4300). Friday-Saturday, Feb. 8-9, 11am-6pm.

• Central Market Westgate Executive Chef John Maxwell presents Love Bites a six-course chocolate-flavored tapas dinner and wine-tasting in a private tent complete with romantic skylights. There will be three small seatings for this unique, reservations-only event; the cost is $40 per person. Friday, Feb. 8, 7pm; Saturday, Feb. 9, 6 & 8pm.

• Taste samples of Susan Belisle's pancakes and gingerbread prepared from her new Morning Sunshine Gingerbread Pancake Mix and cookies made from the Penny's Pastries line of cookie mixes by cookie maven Penny McConnell at both Breed & Co. locations (718 W. 29th, 474-6679, 10am-1pm; 3663 Bee Caves Rd., 328-3960, 2-5pm). Saturday, Feb. 9.

• Every week, the new watering hole in the Triangle called the Flying Saucer (815 W. 47th, 414-8220) hosts brewery nights offering signature giveaway glasses from that week's featured brewery. This week, they're offering their annual Valentine's Day glass. We're told it's a good idea to get there early as these popular keepsakes move very fast. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 7pm.

• Experience a Chocolate Take on Tea at the Tea Embassy (900 Rio Grande, 330-9991). Meet local chocolatier Tom Pederson, creator of Kakawa Cocoa Beans, and enjoy several unique chocolate-infused teas. No cost, but reservations are suggested due to limited seating. Thursday, Feb. 14, 1pm.
