Pub Crawl Results

Thirty beers. It was a daunting task, and our panel of judges were, well, daunted by the end of it all. Some of the scores are a bit sketchy at points, so take the results below with more than the usual grain of salt. What to make, for instance, of the fact that one of the co-winners was the very last beer sampled? Great beer? Great stamina? Great relief? No doubt a combination of all three...

Anyway, each judge rated each beer from 0-10 on each of four qualities -- Appearance, Odor, Taste, and Aftertaste -- for a total score of 0-40 (those individual ratings appear on the following pages). After dropping the highest and lowest totals, and adjusting for a few missing scores as the evening wore on, we arrived at the following averages:
