Guide to the Brewpubs & Their Brews

While the judges sipped and sniffed each glass of beer, I was the sober chaperone who made sure everyone made it back on the bus after each stop and the judging was kept as fair as possible. At each stop, I had the unique opportunity to talk with the brewers about their beer as it was being tasted by our panel. I was very impressed with the care and pride each brewer takes in his product. I know that after all that beer, the judges were pretty full and worn out. I, on the other hand, was having a great time talking about the finer points of the beer without having to judge or describe it. I joked that next time we'll do a coffee tasting crawl and in a role reversal I'll be the only one drinking beer.

Running atop the following pages, above the charts of the judges' comments, are the brewers' descriptions of their own beers.
