Join the Austin Chronicle and fellow craft beer lovers in tasting the Five-8 this summer! This self-guided tour offers one complimentary pour at each of the eight locations and a tour bandana with purchase of a brew-pass. Spend the weekend visiting them all!

  • When does the Five-8 Brew Tour start and end?
    The tour starts at 5pm Friday, July 13 and ends 5pm Sunday, July 15. Please note that participating breweries have different hours. For information on a particular brewery's hours, see above.
  • Where does my Five-8 Brew Tour begin?
    Your Five-8 Brew Tour begins at the start location you select when you purchase your online ticket. When you arrive at your start location you will receive a Five-8 Brew Tour passport, a commemorative bandana, and a Lyft credit for $15 that you can use to go between participating brew tour locations or for your ride home from the brew tour.
  • Where can I park?
    There is a limited amount of parking available at each Five-8 Brew Tour locations, but we highly encourage you to take public transportation or use your Five-8 Brew Tour Lyft credit to get to and from the tour.
  • Can I walk between Five-8 Brew Tour locations?
    Yes! Most of the breweries are in short walking distance of each other (less than 10 minutes). Circle Brewing, Austin Homebrew Supply, and Austin Beerworks are less than a 20 minute walk from the next nearest location.
  • Can I bring a friend even if he or she has not purchased a brew passport?
    Yes, each location will be open for normal business and will have beverages for purchase. However, only Five-8 Brew Tour passport holders will get the complimentary brews.
  • How much beer does my Five-8 Brew Tour Passport get me?
    You will get a minimum pour of 12 ounces at each location.
  • Can I purchase a pass at participating locations?
    Yes, there will be a very limited number of Five-8 Brew Tour passports available during the event that will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for $35. However, to get a discount, you must purchase your Five-8 Brew Tour passport in advance online.
  • What if I lose my Five-8 Brew Tour passport?
    Once you’ve exchanged your online ticket for a Five-8 Brew Tour passport, the passport cannot be replaced. Please keep it secure during your tour.
  • Can I get a refund if I choose not to attend?
    Refunds will be issued up to 5 days in advance of the Five-8 Brew Tour. Refunds will not be issued after 5pm Sunday, July 8.
  • Can I give my Five-8 Brew Tour passport to a friend?
    Yes, once you have exchanged your online ticket for your Five-8 Brew Tour passport, it can be used by anyone.
  • What should I wear?
    Remember, it’s the middle of July, so wear something cool and comfy that won’t show beer stains!
  • Will there be bathrooms available during the tour?
    Yes, every Five-8 Brew Tour location has a free and clean public restroom.
  • Will there be water available on the tour?
    Yes! All participating locations will have drinking water to keep you hydrated on your tour.
  • Will there be food available on the tour?
    Yes! Several of the Five-8 Brew Tour locations will have food trucks or food available. For more information on food available at participating breweries, check the brewery’s website.
  • What is your policy on intoxication before and during the tour?
    If a person is visibly intoxicated before the tour begins, we have to right to deny your entrance onto the tour. During the tour, if a customer disobeys, disrespects, causes any physical or emotional harm to any property, staff, or other Five-8 Brew Tour Participants, their Five-8 Brew Tour passport will be revoked and no refund will be provided. DO NOT PRE-GAME THE BREW TOUR and RESPECT THE BREWERIES, THEIR STAFF, AND YOUR LYFT DRIVERS. WE ARE VERY SERIOUS ABOUT THIS POLICY.
  • Could the Five-8 Brew Tour get cancelled due to inclement weather?
    No. Five-8 Brew Tour is a rain or shine event.
  • Does this event benefit a charity organization?
    Yes, it does! A portion of the proceeds to this event will benefit The Settlement Home for Children, a private, licensed nonprofit that cares for children who come from abusive and neglectful backgrounds.
  • What is the age requirement to participate in the Five-8 Brew Tour?
    In accordance with Texas law, Five-8 Brew Tour participants must be over 21 years of age.
  • Will I need my ID?
    Yes, you will need to show a valid unexpired form of ID at all Five-8 Brew Tour locations. Valid forms of ID include a state issued drivers license, passport, or any other official government issued form of identification. Anyone who cannot provide valid ID will not be served.
  • Should I tip the bartenders at participating Five-8 Brew Tour locations?
    Yes, we encourage you to tip your servers just as you would anywhere else.
  • Can I purchase merchandise at participating Five-8 Brew Tour locations?
    Yes, and it’s highly encouraged!

Anti-Harassment Policy:

The Five-8 Brew Tour wants to provide an entertaining, educational and most importantly safe experience to all of our participants, employees and the staff and customers of participating locations.

Therefore, there is a zero tolerance policy when it comes to sexual or any other forms of harassment by a Five-8 Brew Tour participant towards ay employee, brewery staff member, other brewery guests or fellow tour participants. If we observe a tour participant engaging in any form of harassment toward a brewery staff member, a brewery guest or another tour participant, or if a credible act of harassment is reported to us, the offending tour participant will be asked to leave the tour immediately at his/her own expense and without refund. Additionally and when warranted, The Five-8 Brew Tour reserves the right to notify proper authorities of any activity that could be in violation of local, state or federal laws.

Harassment refers to conduct that denigrates or shows hostility or aversion toward an individual including, but not limited to, slurs, jokes, and other verbal, graphic, written or physical conduct relating to an individual’s race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or sexual orientation.

Sexual harassment refers to unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, unwelcome or offensive touching, sexually provocative or abusive language and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.

We want all of our tour participants to have an enjoyable experience when taking the Five-8 Brew Tour. You can help us achieve that by respecting employees of our participating breweries and your fellow tour participants by not engaging in any forms of harassment while on the tour.
