Waterloo Doodles Part Deux

RECEIVED Wed., Feb. 9, 2022

Dear Editor,
I agree with the previous letter to editor about this advertiser [“Regarding Waterloo Doodles,” Feedback, Dec. 6, 2021]. It’s hilarious that their ad now claims they are ethical breeders. There is no such thing as an ethical doodle breeder. Ask any vet tech who has had to deal with these horrible “COVID puppies”. Doodles are overpriced mutts with a host of genetic and behavioral problems and no standard of breeding. Also anyone who claims they are “hypoallergenic” must be blind as they resemble nothing so much as giant dust mops, sure to drag every allergen it encounters back inside with it. Frankly the sight of this ad makes me sick, not only as an LVT, but as someone who has been to the city shelters recently and seen them overfull of perfectly healthy, beautiful animals who cannot find homes because they are instead occupied by animals that shouldn’t exist due to these “ethical” breeders. No thanks. I think I may have to put down the Chronicle for awhile.
Please adopt; don’t shop. I wish I had a giant sack of money I could give you guys to donate this advertising space to showcase shelter pets, instead. Or something at least useful, like dust mops.
