As a loyal reader for 15+ years, I was deeply disappointed the Chronicle
would not only publish an anti-Semitic epithet but praise a restaurant that uses the epithet in its name. (See “Burgers for Life
,” [Food,] Oct. 16, 2020.) “JewBoy” is among the most hateful ethno-religious insults. It is what anti-Semitic bullies called my late father before beating him up. Would you consider endorsing a restaurant named “N-word Chicken,” even if it were owned by an African American? Then please abstain from anti-Jewish slurs too – and post a retraction to the online version of your article. Keep Austin weird, not racist.
