Despicable on So Many Levels

Dear Editor,
I just read Mary Tuma’s contribution to Naked City regarding one of our state senators ["Shameless, Sen. Schwertner," News, Sept. 28]. I don’t know anything about this particular state senator, but if his name comes before me again, I will forever associate his name with the allegation that your editor allowed Ms. Tuma to repeat. It is despicable on so many levels that any journalist would repeat an unconfirmed allegation from an anonymous, alleged victim.
