Investigation Before Denigration

Dear Editor,
Has anyone there ever investigated the real impact of fluoride in our water, or of smart meters? If so, how could you allow this smear on City Council candidate Laura Pressley in your recent issue [“Smart Meters, Fluoride, and Guns,” News, Oct. 31]? If not, why don't you get educated before you denigrate this courageous woman who is taking an important stand on these (and other) issues for Austinites? Allowing such idiocy in your paper has convinced me to go elsewhere for my reading material.
