Austin traffic is bad news. MoPac and Slaughter needs overpasses. There is no doubt that overpasses also are needed at the juncture of MoPac and 360. Now is the time to do it because it will only become more expensive to do and there will be more traffic every year we wait. Interesting that TxDOT complains about a lack of money but it found more than $130 million to jump-start the MoPac toll lanes! Whatever happened to getting more oversight on TxDOT and doing an audit on what tax dollars are really available and where the money and paper trails go to. The Capital of Texas Hwy, aka 360, needs to become a real highway, and that means getting rid of most traffic lights, building that overpass, and getting people on their way without making more excuses.
