Dear Editor, We are looking to buy a new car. All have a paper in the window listing the Environmental Protection Agency-estimated miles per gallon. My question is, what did EPA use for fuel? If it was 100% gasoline, that's no help because I can't find any. Every gas pump I go to has a tag on it reading "May contain 10% ethanol.” If the EPA used E85, that's no help either because all my pumps say 10%. I'm hoping you, your staff, or readers can come up with the answer for me.
