Thank You to a Generous Community

RECEIVED Tue., March 16, 2010

Dear Editor,
A couple of weeks ago, there was a terrible apartment fire in Austin. My brother lived there for quite a while. The fire took everything he had, including his best friend Heineken, his wonderful dog. My brother works at the local ice arena and has also worked for the Ice Bats. After the fire, the hockey community banded together, and thanks to their generosity, he is back on his feet again. I am writing to you in hopes that I can get a message of gratitude and thanks to all who so generously helped my brother in his time of great need; without them I don't know what would have happened to him. I live in Illinois and don't have the financial means to help him. I can't express how much I appreciate what everyone has done for him. May you all be blessed threefold.
