Clarifying Zilker Neighborhood Association's Role

RECEIVED Thu., July 16, 2009

Dear Editor,
The reference to the Zilker Neighborhood Association in this week's "City Hall Hustle" [News, July 17] may be misinterpreted by some. Through Mr. Paul Linehan, ZNA had already worked out an agreement regarding the Shady Grove parking variance for Monday night's Board of Adjustment meeting. Its terms are outlined in the ZNA newsletter, and they address only the parking variance before the board. Mr. Linehan requested a postponement of the hearing so that he could negotiate with two individuals who were opposing the variance. ZNA did not seek a postponement, and ZNA is so far not involved in these new negotiations.
