Too Many Speed Traps in Austin

RECEIVED Tue., May 5, 2009

Dear Editor,
When did Austin become the Selma/Schertz of the new millennium?
I’ve lived in Austin for 19 years, and I’d never got a ticket in town until last month. Then I almost got a second. Then I noticed the sheer number of speed traps around town. I travel I-35 nearly every day. I understand that the city of Austin is low on cash and needs to make some money, but this is ridiculous.
