Austin, You're My Home

RECEIVED Sun., Sept. 7, 2008

Dear Editor,
Of course Austin has changed and is still changing. Is there any city in the world that is not? Is there any city that doesn't have its share of problems? Probably not. But, given that I can still find delicious tacos, enjoy pleasant afternoons at Barton Springs, attend thought-provoking lectures at UT, walk through Hyde Park, visit the Texas state Capitol (which was, at the time of its construction, the seventh largest building in the world), and listen to the wisdom of John Aielli on KUT, all within a week, I think Austin might just be my home until I move on to the next life.
