Challah for Hunger

RECEIVED Mon., Aug. 27, 2007

Dear Editor,
I wanted to update a number in Rita Radostitz's story last week on Darfur activism ["Think (and Eat) Globally by Dining for Darfur," News, Aug. 24]. Challah for Hunger has actually sent more than $35,000 in the past 2 1/2 years to humanitarian relief for victims of the genocide.
I also want to let all the readers know that Texas Challah for Hunger sales are every Thursday, starting on Sept. 13, from 11am to 2pm on the West Mall of the UT campus. Challah for Hunger will be holding a French Toast Fest on Sept. 9. For more information, please e-mail texas@challahforhunger.org.
Thank you for the story on an issue that is not covered enough.
