Problems With His Hands and More

RECEIVED Fri., Aug. 4, 2006

Dear Editor,
We are all aware of "stress" and the problems it causes, even to the extreme of death. I am reading a book whose title is None of These Diseases and authored by S.I. McMillen M.D. He tells of a man who came to see him, and the man's hands were very badly deformed by arthritis. In talking to the man, Dr. McMillen learned that the man had developed it when he was 9. He also told the doctor that as a young boy he had to walk through a section of woods going to and from school, and in the community there was talk of a panther running loose. He said he was overtaken by fear each time he had to cross the woods and that was when he first noticed having problems with his hands. This book is the best reading material that explains the effects of stress, and I highly recommend everyone read it.
