Dear Editor, The Dougherty Arts Center recently lost a kiln. To make matters worse, the response to this unfortunate event so far has been to cut several of the ceramics classes offered, including the one I took this winter. The DAC should look at the long-term scope of things and regroup so they can accommodate the students that so enjoy these classes. I hope the DAC reconsiders its current plan and comes to realize the value these classes have to the community.
