Dear Editor, I was disappointed about reader response to the article "Gimme Shelter" a few weeks back [“What Happened to the No-Kill Millennium?,” News, Nov. 18]. It seems that readers are more outraged by a mere glimpse of reality (the cover photos that were "too graphic") than by the notion that the dead animals in the photos are just an insignificant fraction of the 13,000-plus animals that die in the Town Lake shelter alone. Where is the pertinent reader input about the important issues raised in the article?
