Stand Up for Jashinski!

Dear Editor,
I am writing to encourage local peace activists to stand behind Katherine Jashinski. Katherine is a specialist in the Texas Army National Guard (and former UT-Austin student) who has filed for conscientious objector status, and who has publicly declared that she will not deploy to Iraq.
Women and men who take a stand like hers deserve our support. War may not be stopped by the politicians, but it can be stopped if soldiers follow their conscience and refuse to fight.
