Legalize Pot Now!

Dear Editor,
I'm not a politician so I have no idea on how to get it organized, but after watching our blue island flooded in a sea of red after every major issue that comes up for vote, I would love to see Austin throw up a big middle finger to illogical legislation without the need for the rest of the states' approval. We should be the next city to follow Denver's lead and legalize possession of marijuana [“Weed Watch,” News, Nov. 18]. Now, more than ever, this country needs to be led from out of the darkness of false taboos and outright hypocrisy. Austin, please, let's stand up and be counted.
