Dear Editor, I think one of the most poignant things about the recent “politically correct” indictments was Kay Bailey Hutchison's comment, "I certainly hope that if there is going to be an indictment that says something happened, that it is an indictment on a crime and not some perjury technicality where they couldn't indict on the crime and so they go to something just to show that their two years of investigation were not a waste of time and taxpayer dollars” [“Quote of the Week,” News, Oct. 28]. Thank you, Kay. You've again reaffirmed my faith in politicians. You've helped, yet again, to let me know exactly what's wrong with the government today. Maybe it was never “of the people, by the people, for the people.” Maybe I'm just confused. I guess “lying” is okay, you know, as long as it's not, like, criminal, or anything. Because it's, like, just the American people and since when did they have a right to the truth? I don't see a thing about truthfulness in the Constitution. Ahem. Hang them all for treason.
