Already the Biggest Debtor Nation

RECEIVED Thu., Sept. 22, 2005

Dear sirs,
President Bush, Vice President Cheney, and Karl Rove must be salivating on how much they can con the American taxpayers out of their money by hiring their friends' companies for disaster aid. Bush gave his buddies at Haliburton another no-bid for Hurricane Katrina relief. Continued tax breaks for the rich as well as waiving the rules to pay the prevailing wage is in a word, crooked. In other words, keep paying the poor just as if they were slaves.
Just because the majority in Congress is Republican is no excuse for negligence of their duty. The Republican Party used to be the party of fiscal responsibility, but they've changed to a party of complete immorality and irresponsibility. The Iraqi war is a good example.
If Pat Robertson is one of their moral leaders we are in big trouble. You might remember he called for the assassination of the president of Venezuela. A country that pledged to help us after Katrina. We of course snubbed them as we snubbed Cuba. Cuba had a thousand doctors ready to help us that Wednesday when we really needed it. How many people died and will die because of our false pride. We aren't a Third World country, but we are on the way to becoming one. (We have already become the biggest debtor nation in the world.)
