When We Fail the Environment

RECEIVED Wed., Sept. 7, 2005

Dear Editor,
Wetlands destroyed, barrier islands destroyed. Trees (mangroves) that protect islands destroyed, dams built. Development on no-man's-land, bad choices ... the list goes on.
So, ultimately, when we alter/rape/deny an environment that was initially made to "help" protect us ... this is the end result.
So, in the future when wisdom knocks at your door ... please welcome it!
