Rove Has Committed Treason

RECEIVED Tue., July 19, 2005

Dear Editor,
Karl Rove has committed treason, pure and simple, and the braying of the attack poodles on the right only emphasizes this reality. It's not just that Mr. Rove is in a position that requires a strict level of personal and professional conduct. No, Mr. Rove is a traitor to his country, and it is pathetic that he has vengefully betrayed America for the most sinister of reasons: to silence those who speak the truth. It is no longer a matter of the Bush administration's irresponsible, petulant, vindictive behavior (behavior which might be expected from an out-of-control 5-year-old, but certainly not from the president of the United States and his fellow administrators). No, this is the betrayal of America, and of our security. And if Mr. Bush's closest, handpicked advisers are treasonous hatchet men, then what does this say about Mr. Bush's judgment and ability to administrate the laws of this country?
